My Interview with Designer Candice Olson + Holiday Decor Tips + Enter to WIN a Holiday Prize Pack from Febreze

(If you are having trouble viewing the video click here)

I had the wonderful privilege of getting to interview Designer-extraordinaire, Candice Olson (Divine Design, HGTV)!

Candice has teamed up with Febreze for a fabulous line of Holiday scented products! With scents like Cranberries & Frost,  Winter Magic & Glow,  Holiday Bloom & Cheer, and Cozy Sugar Vanilla….well…it was hard for me to pick a favorite! (You can view the complete collection here)

With the holidays right around the corner, tinsel, twinkling lights and mistletoe are making their familiar appearance in homes everywhere. Using the same decorations each year can feel tired, but you can make changes without losing the traditions. While decorating for the holiday season, it’s the little touches and details that really make the magic happen and will set your home apart from the rest.

From creating inviting centerpieces and using elements of nature to incorporating festive Febreze scents that give your decorating a true full sensory experience!

Below are the questions I asked Candice in the interview.  (Thanks to everyone who submitted questions!) She personally answers each question in the video above!

How do you determine the best colors when decorating for the holidays? Do you need to base the colors you use on the room’s existing color scheme?
What are the few items you can use to decorate that will give your home a warm holiday feel without having to store a lot of stuff once the Holiday Season is over?
What do you see as the current holiday decorating trends and how does the average person who is not design-inclined apply these elements into their Holiday decor without it looking like a hot mess?
What’s the best way to hide all the power cords??!!
Do you have any suggestions on how to incorporate natural/organic elements into Holiday themes also…any Repurposing holiday decoration ideas?
