Frugal & Easy Craft: Squishy Color Bags

Here is a fun activity if you have little kiddos. I did this yesterday with my kiddos (ages 3 and 5)

It is  a great way to teach colors too.

What you will need:

Food Coloring (red, yellow, blue)

Clear Hair Gel (Dollar Tree)

Clear Plastic Freezer Bag

Cups and Spoons (3 of each)

Directions

Squeeze hair gel into 3 cups (I used plastic so I could toss them when we were done) and add a few drops of food coloring (one color per cup) and stir until the color is mixed.

Next spoon out the colors and place them separately in your plastic bag so they are not touching. I recommend not using the Brawny bags I have in the pic because they have writing on them…be sure to seal the bag tightly.

Have your kiddo squish the colors around and mix the colors. It is squishy and cool….and you can create new color combinations which is a great way to teach primary and secondary colors. Then you can toss the whole bag when the kiddos are done.

I found this idea on DuckDuckOctopus
