Personal Story:
I personally think this is a great idea…if you are a regular reader, you may have heard me mention on several occasions I have 2 Basset Hounds. We have had Hank since he was 8 weeks and we had him micro-chipped around a year old or so. We also adopted Flash this Summer and have plans for that as well. My dog also have these great collars I purchased from LLBean….their names and my husband’s cell phone are printed on the actual collar…
In mid-December, my family and I were headed back from the movies and my husband spotted a tiny little white ball….we stopped the car and it was a tiny little 3 pound dog wondering the streets…he was cleaned and groomed and had a collar- but no tag. I took him to the vet and he didn’t have a chip….I then proceeded to hang posters….no phone calls. We searched for 2 weeks. I took him by every groomer on this end of town and no one recognized him….we never found his owner.
